Stock Market Game™ Fall Competition…Students teams of 3-5 participants in grades 4-12 invest a hypothetical $100,000 in a 10-week simulation. The SMG is a comprehensive, FREE educational program based on a real-life simulation of the stock market. The Stock Market Game teaches about the U.S. economic system while conveying and reinforcing basic concepts in economics, math, business, language arts, social studies, personal finance, and more. In addition to the portfolio contest, students can enter in the InvestWrite competition demonstrating their knowledge of long-term investing, research, and language arts skills. Teaching Economics Using Children's Literature…Palo Verde High School, Las Vegas. Since children love stories, using literature is a great way to show kids that economics is a very real and interesting part of their lives. Our workshop will focus on interdisciplinary and interactive lessons that meet Nevada's economics standards in grades K-5.
